Via the BBC: Digging into 2012's archaelogy. I had seen most of these as they arrived, but a few are new to me.
January seems to be an emabrrasment of riches for some reason. First off, there's Jared Diamond's new book, which is always a welcome event. Then there's Kevin Kelly's entry into the automation and jobs debate and the resulting discussion. Finally, there's a new article by Kevin Drum about the effects of lead on society, which just happens to be a major theme in a book I just finished (serendipity?). That's on top of the other stuff I was planning to write and post. So it may take a while to catch up, but how cool is all that?
